Eric Nelson-Sein

Originally from Brooklyn, New York where I was born and raised until January 19, 1970 which was the day of my 12th Birthday.  This was approximately 5 weeks after the death of my mother.

My life changed after on January 19th when I left Brooklyn, New York and moved to Southern California to be raised by several families until my graduation from High School in 1976. 

I was shocked between the cultures between The East Coast and The West Coast.  However, I grew to Love my new State quickly.  I got involved in Football and Photography, both at which I excelled at.   

After graduating  High School.  I enlisted in the U.S. NAVY and worked as an Aviation Explosives Technician from 1976-1980.  Upon my discharge I worked in several occupations throughout the years, from Law Enforcement, The California State Department of Social Services, to Auto, Life, & Home Insurance Representative.  However, throughout those years I also owned my own business as a professional Freelance Photographer.

In last 55 years I have captured over a million images through my lens. My experience spans a diverse range of events, including more than 400 Weddings, numerous College and High School Events, as well as private and corporate Events for large Corporate Businesses in the World of Computer Technology and many influential people from all walks of life.

I've also had the privilege of documenting significant moments such as Bill Signings at the California State Capitol with former Governor Pete Wilson.  I documented rallies and protest in Sacramento California regarding errors in Presidential Election ballot counting between Al Gore and George Bush resulting in the recount of voter ballots.

​I am proficient in various camera formats, to include 35mm film, medium format film and as well as digital format.  Cameras used over the last 55 years ranged from $12 plastic camera to medium format and digital cameras priced in the thousands of dollars. Once the images are taken then the editing and image refinements begins ensuring every shot and creating my own version of the captured image.

I am bi-lingual with Spanish as my second language, as well as a Proud American of Puerto Rican Ancestry.

I am happily married and blessed to be the father to a wonderful daughter who is a High School English teacher, married to a great man that Loves her tremendously and have blessed me with 3 wonderful grandchildren.

However, my greatest Joy in Life is my Christian Faith as a believer in God the Father, The Holy Spirit, and Christ Jesus my Lord And Savior.
